FAQ

Common questions

Does TubeSnaps store full YouTube URLs?

No. TubeSnaps is designed as a lightweight browser-first tool and does not need to store full YouTube URLs in a database for the current V1 workflow.

Does TubeSnaps require a Google or YouTube login?

No. TubeSnaps does not ask for YouTube OAuth, Google account access, or channel permissions.

Does the TubeSnaps Chrome extension upload or store screenshots?

No. Captured video frames are processed locally in your browser. The extension does not upload or retain screenshots. A captured PNG is saved to your device or written to the clipboard only after you explicitly choose that action.

Will advertising or analytics cookies be used?

The TubeSnaps website may use analytics, advertising, or affiliate links in the future. This policy will be updated with provider details before those services are activated. Chrome extension version 1.0.0 does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, affiliate tracking, or analytics cookies.
